Racing Today & Escaping the Urban Yesterday.

Platu Club Series - Race day.

It was raining cats and dogs today. So we were drenched the whole time and the wind was blowing at what I would say, a consistent 15 knots, or more.

So we brooched like a dozen times and we kept f*cking up. Horrible tacks, highly dangerous gybes, disastrous spin drops, and too many close to capsizing encounters.

Sing Kwan and Ben the goalie, were the visitors onboard today. Hm. Sing Kwan was fine considering he's a sailor himself but Ben had it hard. Uhm, I believe he had a few close to falling into the water encounters. That was how bad it was.

For those who has been sailing, falling into the water didn't seem like something possible kan?!?!

Now really! It isn't easy to fall into the water and it is usually not that scary. Ask Mike, Smurfy, Kev or Darryl, if you don't believe me. Unless, of course, you just have no sense of balance whatsoever then you would definitely be at the mercy of the crew to remain on the boat lah. Anyhow..

Results were plain sucky too. 3, 2,3. Ugh. So today was really just plain shitty. It'll be better next week, it will.

Escaping the Urban aka Urbanscapes

Haha, first let me justify the title. The trio : Mandy, Hui Ying and myself decided to call it escaping the urban as we basically depended on public transport to get us all the way to KLPAC in Sentul which is indeed at the far end from where we all live. Thus, escaping the urban lah.

This KLPAC place is actually really cool. It gave me the 'escaping urban' feel. Like literally. Hm. Lots of greenery and old building blocks.. Totally awesome. Then again, the amount of cars was, a lot lah. Nevertheless, KLue did do a good job on picking the location for the event. That is all I can comment, considering I did not stay for the performances.

Anyway, we did have fun there. I guess. It was scorching hot, and it was packed with fellow humans. Seriously. But yeah, we did have fun!

Hehe, the other two girls didn't quite buy much. I for one, got myself bargain buys. Making me a very happy girl yesterday. A shirt dress @ Rm10, a pair of pink dicey earrings and a purple + a pink beaded necklace @ Rm5 and a Love Letter necklace @ RM15. =)

Woot, happy happy.

We didn't stay for long cuz it was really temperature hot and Hui Ying was dying to get a cold drink, so off we went to MV's for Mc D's plus a lil more shopping and afterwards, it was dinner with PC at Lucky Gardens, a lil walking around Telawi and drinks at Starbucks. Thus ending my very adventurous day out. =)

Yo Mandy! If I missed out anything, you are now obliged to include it in your post! Hahhaaaa..

Random but Important Fact:

The KTM from Sentul to MV's only costs us RM1! Can you believe it?! And we had seats!!

We took the Putra line from Bangsar to Masjid Jamek which costs us RM1.60 & interchanged at MJ to Sentul which costs us RM1.20. After doing the math, going there costs us Rm2.80. And WE HAD TO STAND because it was so packed!

Moral of the story: Take the KTM instead!
