Inner Thoughts Spoken Out Loud

Maybe it is better to stay single after all.
:)

I hope it'll be fair weather over the weekend.

Time to get some training in!

I am SPF 2

You Are SPF 2
You love the sun, and the sun loves you. You always have a sun kissed glow.
It's likely that you are very athletic and very outdoorsy. Nature is your element.

You get depressed if it's too cloudy or gloomy for too long. You are solar powered.
If you could, you would sunbathe all the time. Being in the sun makes you feel at peace.

SPF 2. Would have died of skin cancer long ago.

Of Running Errands

and how much I hate doing so.

First of all, I am the type of person whom, like it or not, is selfish to the core. So asking me 'for a favor' or "Can you please..." usually garners a negative response from me. Even if I do respond with a yes, I assure you deep down, I am dreading it. It is all lip service my dear people.

So. When I do volunteer to help, per se, please give me clear instructions of what needs to be done and don't give me a ambiguous statements like, "Em, I think.." or better still, "I am not sure, can you please read what is there and settle it".

My answer is this:

IT IS YOUR FREAKING ERRAND I AM RUNNING SO THANK YOU BUT NO THANK YOU. PLEASE READ WHAT NEEDS TO BE DONE AND HOW IT NEEDS TO BE DONE AND THEN ONLY COME BACK AND TELL ME WHAT I NEED TO DO.

Hmph.

I've Got Blue Nails

It occurred to me that when if I start working, blue nails are no longer an option.

In The Mood For Cakes

Or cake. Singular form less sinful right?

Wee, feeling wayyy better today than previous days. I reckon I'll be back on my feet by tomorrow (figuratively speaking lah!) but let's hide that bit from the little brother so that he'll walk and shower the doggie tmr. Hee!

~

I've never fancied white outfits. Rather, I don't particularly find white outfits easy to wear. Not that they aren't appealing, just... difficult to wear. Staining easily is my primary put off to white clothing.

Which explains how I only have ONE white bottom (shorts) and one white top (formal wear which I had bought specifically for IO presentation).

Anyways, my point was or is that I am on a mission to get a whole white outfit. Or at least more white outfits for my closet. Shopping time kawans!

** Mandy, this is directed specifically at you since everyone else has agendas they need to fulfill. Tell me when are you available. ASAP would be great.

This bring me to my next point. I really don't think I own too many things. The fact that I do not own more than 2 white clothing in my closet is good proof. But right, I just don't get it. Why am I running out of place to store stuff? Even under the bed is full right now.

People have told me I should just set up a blogshop to sell my stuff off. I've given it some serious thought really. Here are a few reasons why I am probably never going to do it though.
  1. What if no one buys my stuff at all! <- Yes lah, the insecure Psych graduated speaking.
  2. I have not gotten around the idea of posting stuff through mail.

So unless people are willing to meet me in a specific place that is convenient for me, too bad. See how this is not going to work?!

  3. I am too kind (literally!) to name a price for items that I might potentially want to sell. Either the item is too cheap to be sold (ie, I got it for free / something I got from somewhere for a really good bargain) or the item is too expensive so much so I just don't want to sell it even if I will never use it.
Okay lah, I guess these are reasons that I conveniently came up with to prevent me from doing anything about it.

The only way I see this blogshop thing to be a success is if somebody runs it for me. And I mean run the whole thing for me. From deciding what to be sold to the price of the item to how to deliver the item to the buyer..

I'll share the earnings on a 60 -40 basis. You 60 since you are doing the work. Any takers? If you think I am kidding, I am NOT. Really, any takers?

The other alternative to clearing my closet for good would be to do this:
  1. Invite a group of friends over.

  2. Let them go through my stuff entirely without me being present.

  3. Then, they leave without telling or showing me what they've taken.

  4. Now this is the exciting part.

If within a week I do not ask about any of the items 'missing' from my closet, then it is no longer mine. Of course if I identify a missing item, it has to be returned to me.
Sounds like fun no? :D

Dear Kevin Saw

You Are Occasionally a Narcissist
While you have healthy self esteem, you're really not that full of yourself.
Compared to most people, you're quite humble!

Though occasionally, you can't help and reflect on how great you are.
There's nothing wrong with being proud of yourself - as long as you don't let it go to your head!

Nah, there you go. I've got a healthy self esteem! :)

I Hope It Will Not Cost Me RM12.35 Every Morning

RM11.35 for a latte at Coffee Bean and RM1 for 2 hours of parking.

(Technically, I cheated lah. It was 50cents per hour, I put in RM1 but I parked for 3 hours. Good thing no summon! :D )

I surely hope I don't have to pay that price every single day to have a good start for my day. Confirm bankrupt before I know it.

So I finished "For One Day" by Mitch Albom in under 3 hours. Here are some favorite quotes, share with you all:
  • Don't you ever tell a child something's too hard.

  • Any boy who wouldn't come to the front door was a boy not worth dating.

  • "You are not a little boy anymore."
Why do I feel like one?

  • Going back to something is harder than you think.

  • The more you defend a lie, the angrier you become.

  • Live.
Cheaper alternatives to kick start a good morning anyone??

This Is What I Will Do Tomorrow

I will wake up, pack a good book into my bag, make sure phone is fully charged, double check to be sure the earphones are packed too, and head out.

Destination unknown.

Exciting much? :)

I'm A Salty Person

You Are a Salty Person
When it comes to snacks, you're more likely to grab a bag of chips over a bag of cookies.

There's a good chance you're male (men prefer salty snacks)...
Or at least, you feel very comfortable in male dominated environments.

Your taste tends to be complex, sophisticated, and adult.
You tend to crave your favorite restaurant meal... or mom's cooking.

This is funny in more than one way.

What Should I Do With Myself Today

Being 22

I posted not too long ago about turning 22. And I very simply mentioned that there isn't any significant difference about aging (no offence to those who may feel offended with my choice of words).

Well, it occurred to me that while I grow a year older each year, to me, it is simply growing up and becoming a better person, I hope!

But to them, it may be a whole different story.

By them, I am referring to my parents, particularly. And of course also included the people who have watched me grow from the little cute thing to who I am today.

I wonder what crosses their mind when they look at me today and see a 22 year old Ai Li as compared to the Ai Li who was still in her diapers.

I wonder if I have become the person they once thought I would be or have I diverted from what was expected of me. And assuming if I have gone in a different direction as expected, am I still the same, per se?

Wonders.

Fact vs Opinion

The fact that even my Grandfather said I lost weight has to mean something significant.

But really, the digital scale at Le Meridien said otherwise. It read 54.4kg last I checked (that was 4 days ago). This is the heaviest I have ever been! Damnit, even taking into consideration the duration I was training in PD, I was never more than 54kg.

So, which do I want to believe??

That the scale is wrong or that perhaps, just maybe perhaps, my now longer hair weighs 4kg's?

I think I choose the latter, at the very least, it is less depressing.

Chiang Mai

Since the photos decided to place themselves in reverse order, so be it. You'll just have to tune your mind to the order in which I am writing this post.

Don't worry, it's easy reading :)

A few things to sum it up first.
  1. Chiang Mai is hot during this time of the year, don't forget to drink lots of water and bring comfortable attire, forget the glam. Time for some natural glow I'd say.

  2. Forget the Zoo when you're in CM - short for Chiang Mai lah okay?. I was told how awesome it was and everything by almost everyone I spoke to in CM but it turned out to be a total waste of my time. Opt for the Night Safari instead, awesome!

  3. Shopping. While my purpose of the trip was not for this, if yours is however, pack real light, you'll be buying stuff and before you know it, you'll have a luggage too full for your own good. Not that the shopping was great but if you're a shopper, you will get stuff. If you know what I mean.

  4. Bring candies when you visit the hill tribes, the kids are bound to be happy to see you.

  5. I don't know if it is typical for tourist to go to a travel agent when visiting CM but we did and I think in a way, it is probably easier and simpler than trying to figure your way around town and having to haggle with tuk tuk / song thiao drivers.
Reliving childhood moments @ the playground in the gardens of The Imperial Mae Ping.

Heng, the Crocs has traveled quite a bit. From the States to Malaysia and now to Thailand.

Only because I look pretty. No other reason.

Chances are, all the tours you take, they will bring you to the orchid farm. Meaning to say, if today you took tour A (say visiting elephants), they will inform you that you will be dropping by the Orchid Farm. And tmr you take tour B (visiting Hill Tribes), they will again drop by the Orchid Farm.

Personally, I don't understand their fascination with the Orchid Farm but I guess simply put, it happens to be on the way to everything you do in CM.

Cute kid(s) at the Hill Tribe Village

Baby White Tiger @ the Night Safari, so cute!

That's it I guess! :)

No Other

I happen to listen to this yesterday and liked it quite a bit. It has the happy vibe to it.

Then today at lunch, a friend gave special mention to this song too. And so I decided to give it another go on youtube when I got home.

And now, I am hooked!

I hope you'll enjoy it as much as I do!
